Xiaotong Zhang, a freelance illustrator hailing from China and currently residing in Toronto, holds a bachelor's degree in design and illustration from OCAD University in Canada. Soon, she will start a master's degree program in design at NSCAD University, also in Canada. She has extensive experience in crafting picture books and illustrations. 

 

Xiaotong's focus lies in the narrative and profound implications of illustrations. She aspires to delve into and shed light on various social issues and contemporary human emotions through his artwork. Drawing inspiration from Oriental art, culture, human emotions, and societal challenges, Xiaotong enjoys crafting illustrations with enigmatic metaphors and evocative emotions.

 

Xiaotong's diverse illustration styles range from thick-painted realism to retro planes and graininess. She employs tools such as Procreate, oil painting, and Adobe Illustrator in his creative process.
